Our Founder's Story
Hi, I'm Anna. I'm an interior designer, artist, and small business owner in the city I call home, San Francisco.
In November of 2020, I was burnt out from my job as an architect and ready for something new. I found a run down retail space in my neighborhood, the Outer Richmond, and decided I would transform it into a community space, art gallery, and plant shop. After many late nights and a few new power tools - Common Space was born.
I have learned a lot along the way, and let my community and patrons help shape Common Space into what it is today: A Place for Gathering.
We have hosted countless bridal showers that have turned into wedding receptions, then baby showers, and first birthdays. Memorials have been hosted as loved ones were celebrated, and companies have made decisions on what's next inside our walls.
We've created communities that come together monthly as a part of our Wellness Wednesday program and helped seed whole companies from those first events hosted in The Loft.
We have teams from across the world pick to meet in our space to get work done, and do the real work of connecting offline.
We are honored to serve you, San Francisco. We can't wait to be a part of your story - and you all a part of ours. Here's to you + the many memories to come.
